POSITION: Instructional Assistant
JOB FUNCTION: LEAP Academy University Charter School, Camden, NJ is seeking an Instructional Assistant that will embrace and drive the LEAP mission and goals for its students.
QUALIFICATIONS:
-
Bachelor's degree preferred
-
Minimum of one (1) year elementary classroom experience;
-
New Jersey Substitute Teacher's Certificate
-
Experience and comfort working directly in an urban classroom setting;
REPORTS TO:
School Principal
MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
-
Assist the classroom teacher with the implementation of the curriculum;
-
Assist students during transitions (lunch and recess);
-
Assist teacher with recordkeeping and data (attendance, homework, etc.);

Assists teacher with classroom management/monitoring
-
Performs all other duties as assigned by the classroom teacher and/or Principal
ADDITIONAL DUTIES: Performs other related tasks as assigned by the Principal and/or Lead Person/COO and Chief Financial Officer/SBA.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Ten-month contracted position
EVALUATION: According to state statute and rule and board policy.
