What You'll Do
As a Medication Aide, you'll play a vital role in ensuring residents receive safe, compassionate care while helping create a positive and engaging environment.
Responsibilities Include:
- Assisting residents with self-administration of medications according to Virginia regulations
- Monitoring and documenting resident care accurately
- Assisting residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility, and personal care
- Building meaningful relationships with residents and families
- Communicating effectively with nursing staff and caregivers to ensure continuity of care
- Supporting resident activities and engagement
- Maintaining a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment
- Delivering exceptional customer service and resident-centered care
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
✔ Current Virginia Medication Aide / Medication Technician Certification
✔ Minimum age of 18 years
✔ Ability to pass a criminal background screening
✔ Strong communication and teamwork skills
✔ Compassionate and resident-focused attitude
Preferred Qualifications
⭐ Previous Assisted Living, Memory Care, or Senior Living experience
⭐ CNA certification
⭐ CPR and First Aid Certification
⭐ Experience with electronic resident documentation systems
⭐ One year or more of caregiving or medication administration experience
