The CAD Department of Coastal Consultants, PC develops reliable easement plats, base maps, and as-built maps, especially for utility projects.
Duties Required:
- Create detailed design drawings using software such as AutoCAD / CAD, Civil 3-D
- Collaborate with engineers and architects to understand project requirements.
- Assist in the development of mechanical design drawings for various projects.
- Draft plans for structures.
- Ensure all designs comply with industry regulations and standards.
Knowledge Base Required:
- Math, especially geometry and arithmetic
- CAD software competency:
- Required: Carlson and/or AutoCAD
- Bonus: ArcGIS and/or Microstation
- Microsoft Office software and common internet browsers proficiency
- Land surveying basic principles (preferred)
- Strong ability to draft and interpret technical drawings accurately.
- Ability to read and understand land records (preferred)
- Evaluate the reliability of data
- Recognize conventional CAD layer naming systems
