Teton Valley Health is looking for an ITS Help Desk Technician to support the staff of the organization. This individual will be a full-time employee and will be responsible for providing preventive and remedial maintenance for all standard desktop devices and peripherals. The desktop equipment list for each site includes a variety of PC systems (with keyboards, monitors, peripherals, and mice) from major manufacturers. Peripherals are primarily printers, scanners, web cameras, headsets, badge readers, and storage devices. The Computer Technician will be a part of a team of system administrators and report to the IT Director.
Job Description:
- Provide periodic and preventative maintenance services based upon Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) recommendations.
- Provide remedial services as required to keep desktop devices in good working order.
- Refresh computers per site as needed and replace older devices at end of life.
- Swap out defective units to maintain continuity of operations
- Knowledge of software installations and image generation (device imaging) procedures.
- Interface with the end user to resolve desktop productivity suite issues.
- Support networked printers as needed by departments.
- Help with regular directory clean-ups.
- Troubleshooting, solving and escalating issues as needed.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 1 or more years’ experience providing IT user support, IT hardware/network support, IT troubleshooting or other IT Support roles
- High school diploma or equivalency
- Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
- Good interpersonal skills in dealing with patients, families, and all health care professionals and TVHC staff
- Intermediate knowledge in software, networks, and hardware operations and maintenance, including but not limited to MS exchange, MS Office (2010, 2013), VMWare, Oracle and/or SQL Server
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to maintain and follow guidelines set for standards of practice in quality patient care, and infection control practices as required by state, federal and hospital regulations/policy
- Advanced knowledge in computer systems including but not limited to firewalls, software backups, LAN architecture, server virtualization, Active Directory domain management and report writing
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with ambulatory or hospital EMR’s
- Barracuda software backups experience
- Watchguard firewall experience
- Experience working in a healthcare environment
- Additional languages – Spanish Preferred
