Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, bathrooms, hallways, and public areas using appropriate cleaning agents and equipment
- Handle laundry duties including washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens and guest clothing with care and efficiency
- Utilize cleaning equipment such as vacuums, floor scrubbers, and mops to maintain spotless floors and surfaces
- Follow safety data sheets (SDS) for all chemical agents handling to ensure safe usage and storage
- Conduct floor care activities including vacuuming, mopping, buffing, and polishing to uphold hygiene standards
- Manage heavy lifting tasks related to linen carts, cleaning supplies, and laundry loads safely and effectively
- Adhere to hotel housekeeping management protocols, including sanitation procedures and emergency response guidelines
- Maintain detailed records of cleaning schedules, chemical usage, and safety inspections in compliance with hospitality standards
- Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to guest requests or concerns with professionalism and a positive attitude
Experience
- Previous experience in hotel housekeeping or custodial roles is highly desirable
- Knowledge of industrial cleaning techniques and janitorial practices within hospitality environments
- Familiarity with chemical handling procedures, safety data sheets (SDS), and proper use of cleaning agents
- Experience operating cleaning equipment such as vacuums, floor buffers, and steam cleaners
- Understanding of hotel emergency procedures and safety protocols related to sanitation and hazardous materials
- Proven ability to perform manual handling tasks safely while maintaining attention to detail in fast-paced settings
- Strong customer service skills with a commitment to creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests
