Location: Marian High School (All-Girls Catholic High School), Bloomfield Hills.
Duration: Approximately August 10 – October 31
We are seeking a certified, dedicated, and experienced Long Term Substitute Teacher to teach Algebra and Geometry classes at our all-girls Catholic high school. The ideal candidate will be passionate about teaching mathematics and committed to fostering a student-centered, positive and engaging learning environment for our students.
- Provide high-quality instruction in Algebra and Geometry following the school curriculum.
- Maintain classroom management and create a respectful, supportive atmosphere.
- Prepare lesson plans, assignments, and assessments aligned with course objectives (most of this is already prepared - your job would be to pace, deliver, adjust where necessary, handle grading, etc.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff.
- Monitor and assess student progress and provide feedback.
- Collaborate with other faculty members to support student success.
- Strong knowledge and teaching experience in Algebra and Geometry.
- Previous experience working in a high school setting preferred.
- Ability to engage and motivate high school students.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Commitment to the values and mission of an all-girls Catholic educational environment.
- Valid teaching certification or credentials preferred (highly qualified/endorsed for high school algebra and geometry).
