Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Mental Health Therapist to join our dynamic healthcare team. This position can be fully remote, hybrid, or on site in Wamego, KS. Depending on license level, percentage of contract will discussed. Credentialing is required to be done by therapist if they are wanting to accept insurance. Therapist is required to hold malpractice insurance, maintain license and CEU's.

Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations to assess clients’ emotional, behavioral, and psychological needs
- Develop personalized treatment plans utilizing therapeutic modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness, or other evidence-based approaches
- Provide modes of your choice, individual, group, or family therapy sessions to support clients through various mental health issues
- Monitor client progress regularly and adjust treatment strategies accordingly
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations and standards
- Possibility of collaboration with multidisciplinary teams including physicians, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care
- Educate clients and their families about mental health conditions, coping skills, and available resources
Requirements
- Proven experience working as a Mental Health Therapist or in a related clinical setting with diverse patient populations
- Strong understanding of mental health disorders, treatment modalities, and crisis intervention techniques
- Excellent client communication skills with the ability to build trust and rapport quickly
- Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to mental health care and familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) management systems
- Certification or licensure as required by local regulations (e.g., LPC, LMFT, LCSW)
- Ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy, professionalism, and confidentiality
- Critical care experience or background in acute care settings is a plus for managing complex cases
Additional desirable skills include experience with proficiency in medical documentation related to mental health conditions, knowledge of diagnosis pertaining to mental health assessments, and familiarity with patient service protocols. Experience in therapeutic setting is desired but not required. Strong client communication skills are essential for effective engagement and support throughout the therapeutic process.
Pay: $40,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
