Vehicle Damage Assessment: Inspect and assess vehicles to determine the extent of damage and identify necessary repairs.

Repair and Replace Parts: Remove, repair, or replace damaged vehicle parts, including body panels, bumpers, doors, hoods, and frame components.

Frame Straightening: Use specialized equipment to straighten or realign vehicle frames and chassis.

Paint Preparation: Sand, buff, and prepare surfaces for painting, ensuring the vehicle’s body is smooth and properly prepared for refinishing.

Refinishing: Apply primer, paint, and clear coat to restore the vehicle’s original appearance and finish.

Welding & Metal Work: Perform welding and metal fabrication for repairing or replacing damaged body parts, such as panels, doors, and undercarriages.

Safety and Quality Compliance: Ensure all repairs are performed according to manufacturer specifications and industry standards, following safety protocols and using the proper tools and equipment.

Customer Interaction: Communicate with customers or service writers to explain damage, repair processes, and estimated costs.

Maintain Tools and Equipment: Keep tools, equipment, and work areas clean and well-maintained, and ensure they are in good working condition.

Team Collaboration: Work closely with other technicians, estimators, and management to ensure timely completion of repairs and meet quality standards.

Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as an automotive body repair technician or mechanic.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Certification in Auto Body Repair or related field is a plus.

Skills:

Proficiency with body repair tools, diagnostic equipment, and paint refinishing techniques.

Knowledge of frame repair and straightening equipment.

Familiarity with welding, metalwork, and automotive painting.

Ability to interpret repair orders, diagrams, and manufacturer specifications.

Strong attention to detail and focus on quality craftsmanship.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift, bend, kneel, and stand for long periods.

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Comfortable working in a shop environment with exposure to noise, fumes, and varying temperatures.

Driver’s License: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record preferred.
