Overview
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Massage Therapist to join our wellness team 2days/wk (Thursdays & Saturdays). The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of various massage techniques and a commitment to providing exceptional patient service. As a Massage Therapist, you will play a vital role in enhancing the overall well-being of our clients by offering therapeutic treatments tailored to their individual needs.
Responsibilities
- Provide various types of massage therapy, including deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, and pain management techniques.
- Educate clients on the benefits of massage therapy and recommend follow-up treatments as necessary.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to support occupational health initiatives and improve patient outcomes.
- Uphold cleanliness and safety standards in the treatment area to create a welcoming environment for clients.
Skills
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with clients.
- Proficient knowledge of anatomy and physiology, enabling effective treatment planning.
- Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to massage therapy practices.
- Experience in pain management techniques and understanding of various therapeutic modalities.
- Ability to perform deep tissue massage and trigger point therapy effectively.
- Knowledge of occupational health principles as they relate to massage therapy practices.
- Experience working in a med spa environment is a plus but not required.
