Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Concrete Finisher to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for shaping, finishing, and detailing concrete surfaces to ensure they meet quality standards and project specifications. Your expertise will help bring construction projects to life, creating durable and visually appealing concrete structures. Duties
- Smooth and finish freshly poured concrete using hand tools and power tools to achieve a high-quality surface finish.
- Install rebar and metal reinforcement according to schematics and blueprints to ensure structural integrity.
- Read and interpret construction schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings for precise execution of tasks.
- Operate heavy equipment such as concrete mixers, pumps, and other machinery safely and efficiently on-site.
- Apply finishing techniques including troweling, caulking, stucco, plastering, and trim carpentry to enhance the appearance of concrete surfaces.
- Assist with concrete forming, framing, and metal stud installation for various structural elements.
- Perform heavy lifting and manual labor required for site preparation, restoration, and renovation projects while adhering to safety protocols.
Requirements
- Proven experience in concrete finishing, construction site work, or related trades with a strong understanding of construction processes.
- Mechanical knowledge of tools, power equipment, concrete mixers, pumps, and heavy machinery operation.
- Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings accurately.
- Skilled in rebar installation, masonry work, flooring installation, tile laying, roofing support, and framing carpentry.
- Knowledge of construction estimating practices is a plus for project planning purposes.
- Familiarity with metal stud framing, stucco application, caulking techniques, and restoration work is desirable.
- Physical stamina for heavy lifting, standing for extended periods, climbing ladders or scaffolding safely.
- Valid commercial driver’s license or ability to operate heavy equipment may be required depending on project needs.
