Join our dynamic hospitality team as a Restaurant Host/Hostess, where your vibrant personality and exceptional customer service skills will set the tone for an unforgettable dining experience. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for guests, creating a welcoming atmosphere that encourages guest satisfaction and loyalty. Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly with enthusiasm and professionalism, establishing a positive first impression.
- Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently using POS systems.
- Escort guests to their tables, providing menus and answering initial questions about the menu or restaurant offerings.
- Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely seating and smooth service flow.
- Place all carry out orders through TOAST POS system. Bag orders when ready and ensure all contents are correct. All carry out tips are given to host/hostess.
- Handle guest inquiries over the phone with excellent phone etiquette, providing accurate information and assistance.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand area, ensuring a tidy environment at all times.
- Assist in guest relations by addressing concerns promptly and professionally, striving to exceed expectations during their visit.
Requirements
- Previous host/hostess experience in a fast-paced restaurant environment preferred but not required.
- Must be 16 years of age or older.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests.
- Knowledge of food service operations and restaurant procedures.
- Experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is highly desirable.
- Excellent customer service skills, including patience, attentiveness, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining a friendly demeanor.
