POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Excavation Project Manager to oversee large-scale excavation projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will possess strong construction management skills, extensive site experience, and proficiency with industry-standard software. This role involves coordinating multiple teams, managing project schedules, and ensuring projects adhere to safety, quality, and budget standards. The Excavation Project Manager will play a pivotal role in delivering successful projects on time and within scope.
Duties
· Lead and manage excavation projects, ensuring all phases are completed efficiently and safely
· Develop detailed project plans utilizing construction management software such as Primavera P6 and HeavyBid
· Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to facilitate project execution
· Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to ensure accurate implementation
· Prepare and review construction estimates, contracts, and change orders using tools like Construction estimating software
· Monitor project progress through scheduling tools like Primavera and Civil 3D to ensure adherence to timelines
· Oversee site safety protocols, conduct regular inspections, and enforce compliance with OSHA standards
· Manage project documentation including plans, schedules, change orders, and reports using Bluebeam or similar software
· Address project issues proactively by troubleshooting on-site problems and adjusting plans accordingly
· Ensure effective communication across all stakeholders for seamless project coordination
· Maintain a thorough understanding of construction site operations and logistics
REQUIREMENTS:
· Proven experience in construction management with a focus on excavation or civil site projects
· Strong knowledge of construction estimating, project scheduling (Primavera P6), and project management principles
· Proficiency with civil design software such as Civil 3D and schematics reading skills
· Familiarity with heavy civil contracts, blueprints, schematics, and construction site safety protocols
· Experience with construction management software including ProCore, Bluebeam, HeavyBid, and Primavera P6
· Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively
· Strong leadership abilities with excellent communication skills for team coordination
· Ability to read technical drawings and schematics accurately
· Relevant certifications or licenses in construction management or related fields are preferred

SALARY: $175,000 Base - $200,000 + Yearly Bonus
