Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting their favorite ice cream flavors and toppings.
- Handle cash register operations, process cash and card transactions, and give correct change.
- Prepare food items as needed, including scooping ice cream, serving cones, cups, and other treats while maintaining food safety standards.
- Maintain a clean workspace by sanitizing equipment, cleaning counters, and ensuring proper sanitation practices are followed.
- Manage food handling responsibilities with attention to safety regulations and hygiene protocols.
- Upsell additional products or upgrades to enhance customer experience and increase sales.
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, serving, or cashiering within quick service or fast-food environments.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for retail sales transactions.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests.
- Excellent time management skills to handle busy periods efficiently without sacrificing quality.
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and follow food safety management practices.
- Basic math skills for processing cash transactions accurately and managing retail math calculations.
- Previous experience in food industry roles such as café or grocery store environments is highly desirable.
