Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our medical staff and ensuring that patients receive high-quality care. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, proficiency in clinical procedures, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
- Administer medications as directed by physicians.
- Perform routine laboratory tests and prepare specimens for analysis.
- Maintain accurate patient records, including medical histories and treatment plans.
- Manage patient flow within the clinic, ensuring timely and efficient service.
- Conduct basic diagnostic tests, including X-rays when necessary.
- Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and maintain a clean working environment.
- Collaborate with various departments including emergency medicine, internal medicine, dermatology, and hospital medicine to provide comprehensive patient care.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Assistant from an accredited program.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and physiology.
- Experience in emergency medicine or hospital settings is preferred.
- Familiarity with clinical systems and electronic health records (EHR).
- Ability to perform basic dermatological assessments and treatments.
- Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Prior experience in a clinic or healthcare setting is an advantage.
