Job Title: Experienced Shipping Clerk

Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Shipping Clerk with proven experience in handling outgoing shipments, inventory coordination, and logistics support. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate, timely, and efficient shipping operations while maintaining high standards of organization and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, package, and label outgoing shipments accurately
- Coordinate with carriers (UPS, FedEx, freight companies) to schedule pickups and deliveries
- Verify shipping information, including addresses, weights, and documentation
- Maintain shipping logs, records, and tracking information
- Inspect shipments for damage or discrepancies before dispatch
- Assist with inventory control, including stock counts and organization
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts (if certified)
- Ensure compliance with company procedures and safety regulations
- Communicate with internal teams regarding order status and delays
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience as a Shipping Clerk or in a similar logistics/warehouse role
- Strong understanding of shipping procedures and documentation
- Experience with shipping software and tracking systems
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, inventory systems)
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
Preferred Skills:
- Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Knowledge of domestic and international shipping procedures
