This role is responsible to manage a portfolio of liability claims (bodily injury/property damage) and provide a claims experience that maximizes client satisfaction. Further duties are listed below:
- Deliver industry leading service to clients and brokers
- Comply with all regulatory requirements and maintain claims handling best practices
- Support claim management teams & key strategic priorities by participating & engaging in projects and initiatives as assigned
- Manage all aspects of assigned claims and litigation including assessing coverage issues and reviewing and implementing coverage strategy
- Participate in selection and management of outside counsel, investigators & subject matter experts to manage litigation & develop claims
- Collaborate with insured and assigned counsel to develop & implement strategy to resolve matters including review of liability & damages and direct counsel in accordance with resolution strategy
- Prepare reports to provide reserve recommendations & claims/litigation strategy to internal and external stakeholders
- Attend mediations, settlement conferences, trials and other proceedings relevant to resolution of assigned matters
- Travel 30% to brokers, clients, industry conferences, and all offices as needed
Experience:
- Graduate Degree
- Legal Qualification (experienced insurance litigation attorney is highly desirable)
- Preferably 5-12 years' experience handling legal disputes and/or a proven track record in managing a variety of bodily injury and property damage insurance claims; aviation experience desirable
- Understanding of insurance claims processes and procedures within the U.S. and International Market; aviation experience desirable
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Strong organization and co-ordination skills
- Strong written & oral communication skills including building relationships
- Excellent attention to detail and a keen ability to prioritize and organize a high workload
Pay: $140,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year
