School of Health and Natural Sciences- Biology – Part-Time Adjunct
Monmouth College, an independent residential liberal arts institution in Illinois, seeks applications for adjuncts in Biology, particularly Botany, and Environmental Studies. The position reports to the Chair of the School of Health and Natural Sciences, and the Vice President for Academic Affairs and Dean of the Faculty. The position has daily contact with students, staff, faculty, and persons outside the campus community.
The successful candidate will be a dynamic colleague willing to work closely with undergraduate students and members of the School of Health and Natural Sciences. The candidate will teach one to two biology classes as part of Monmouth elective offerings. Preference is for on-campus in-person teaching, but hybrid or online teaching considered.
Required: An M.A. in Biology or related field is required for appointment as an adjunct instructor. A commitment to the liberal arts and an appreciation for the small college learning environment is essential.
Salary Range: $4000-$5000 per credit course dependent upon qualifications
