General Manager
Location: Central Pennsylvania
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced, hands-on General Manager to lead our wholesale distribution business serving convenience stores, restaurants, and retail customers throughout Central Pennsylvania. Our company specializes in candy, tobacco, beverages, snacks, and restaurant supplies.
The General Manager will oversee all aspects of the business, including warehouse operations, purchasing, inventory management, transportation, sales, customer service, and financial performance. This individual will work closely with ownership to develop strategy while ensuring day-to-day operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all warehouse, distribution, purchasing, and office operations.
- Manage department managers and develop a high-performing leadership team.
- Drive revenue growth while maintaining profitability.
- Monitor inventory levels, turns, shrink, and purchasing.
- Oversee delivery fleet, routing, and logistics.
- Develop vendor relationships and negotiate purchasing agreements.
- Establish and monitor KPIs for sales, service, inventory, and operations.
- Prepare and manage annual budgets.
- Analyze financial statements and implement cost-control initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with tobacco regulations, OSHA requirements, DOT regulations, and company safety standards.
- Improve operational efficiency through technology and process improvements.
- Build strong relationships with key customers and suppliers.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, or related field preferred.
- 10+ years of management experience.
- 5+ years leading a wholesale distribution, foodservice, grocery, beverage, convenience store, or logistics operation.
- Strong financial and P&L management experience.
- Experience managing warehouse operations and delivery fleets.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- ERP, inventory management, and Microsoft Office proficiency.
- Proven record of improving operational performance and profitability.
