American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN - Home Health for a day shift position requiring at least 2 years of home health experience and a Maine or compact RN license.

Home health setting providing care within an assigned territory in York County, Maine
-
Case manage 20-25 patients with an expectation of 6 visits per day
-
May be reassigned as a re-visitor based on agency needs during the contract
-
Patient population includes adult med surg, oncology, cardiac, neurological, respiratory, wound care, GI, and GU cases
-
Uses Epic EMR and OASIS documentation
-
Day shift schedule from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
-
Weekend rotation options include every other weekend with a weekday off, a permanent Tuesday-Saturday schedule, or a permanent Sunday-Thursday schedule based on agency needs

Call back required 2-4 times per month between 5:00 PM and 8:00 PM, with no overnight call

No floating required beyond a 25-mile float policy between facilities as needed

Active RN license (Maine or Compact) required

BLS certification required

Minimum 2 years of RN experience required

Home health experience required

Epic and OASIS experience required

Preferred experience with IV therapy, tube feeds, trachs, compression wraps, port access, ostomies, chest tubes, suprapubic catheters, and lab draws

Driver's License required for consideration

Deliver home health nursing care to an adult patient population with a variety of medical conditions

Collaborative team environment valuing strong communication and openness to feedback for improving practice and workflow

Business casual attire or scrubs of any color permitted; jeans, open-toed shoes, and clothing with holes are not allowed

Assigned agency laptop, iPhone, nursing supply bin, nursing bag with vital signs equipment, and INR machine must be returned upon departure

Air pods, laptops, and cell phone usage are prohibited while on duty

Candidates residing within 90 miles of any MaineHealth facility (Maine or New Hampshire residents) are considered local and are not eligible for renewals or extensions

RTO should be kept to a minimum, with 3-4 days considered reasonable for a 13-week contract at the manager's discretion
