Customer Service Coordinator II
Location: Corning, NY 14831
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Job Type: Contract, fully onsite
Pay: $17.88–$21.54 per hour, based on experience
CTG is seeking a Customer Service Coordinator II to support our long-standing Fortune 500 client in Corning, NY. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented customer service professional with experience in order management, logistics, shipping, or corporate customer operations.
Responsibilities
- Manage assigned domestic and international customer accounts.
- Receive, validate, and accurately enter customer orders.
- Monitor open orders and shipments to support on-time delivery.
- Track shipments and proactively resolve delays or discrepancies.
- Coordinate carrier bookings, routing details, shipment dimensions, and customer information.
- Create and maintain customer profiles, buying agreements, purchase orders, and shipping records.
- Review invoices and process credits, rebates, and return authorizations.
- Respond to customer questions regarding orders, shipments, pricing, and products within established service expectations.
- Work with customers and internal teams to resolve billing and payment discrepancies.
- Partner with Planning, Shipping, Quality, Finance, IT, Commercial Operations, Transportation, and other departments.
- Assist the sales team with reports, analysis, and special projects.
- Follow detailed shipping processes and applicable customs requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree or equivalent relevant work experience.
- At least two years of customer service experience, preferably in a corporate or professional environment.
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Word, and SharePoint.
- Ability to work onsite in Corning, NY, Monday through Friday.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with SAP or PeopleSoft order-management systems.
- Experience with order entry, fulfillment, logistics, or shipment tracking.
- Knowledge of international shipping, customs, or export documentation.
- Experience with Origin Manager or similar transportation-management software.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
- Experience supporting manufacturing, supply-chain, or cross-functional operations.
Minimal travel may occasionally be available to U.S. plants or domestic customer locations.
