As a Commercial Driver's License A Truck Driver and become a vital part of our logistics operation! In this energetic role, you will be responsible for safely operating tractor-trailers and various specialized trucks to deliver freight efficiently across designated routes. Responsibilities
- Safely operate a truck including tractor-trailers, refrigerated trailers.
- Plan routes using GPS navigation systems to optimize delivery efficiency and meet scheduled deadlines.
- Properly handling and securing of cargo.
- Comply fully with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations, DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations, and hazardous materials handling requirements.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to identify maintenance needs or safety concerns.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery documentation, and compliance records in accordance with regulatory standards.
- Deliver freight across diverse routes with professionalism, ensuring excellent customer service at each stop.
- Follow all safety protocols during route driving and cargo handling to prevent accidents or damage.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A with clean driving record.
- Recent Grads welcome.
- Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including route driving and delivery operations.
- Proficiency in operating commercial trucks and familiarity with various truck types such as refrigerated trailers.
- Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT regulations, hazardous materials regulations, and safety standards for transporting dangerous goods.
- Strong understanding of logistics cargo handling procedures for different types of freight.
- Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety, efficiency, and punctuality.
- Physical capability to secure freight and perform handling tasks regularly.
- Experience using GPS navigation systems for route planning and execution.
