Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Virginia Licensed Social Worker to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals and families facing various challenges, including mental health issues, addiction, and social barriers. Your expertise in crisis intervention and behavioral health will be crucial in helping clients navigate their circumstances and achieve positive outcomes. This position requires a strong commitment to social work principles, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with other professionals in the field.
Responsibilities
- Conduct assessments to identify clients' needs and develop appropriate intervention plans.
- Provide crisis intervention and management services to individuals in distress.
- Offer addiction counseling and support to clients struggling with substance use disorders.
- Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to encourage client engagement and progress.
- Mentor and supervise junior staff or interns, fostering their professional development.
- Collaborate with community resources, including Section 8 housing programs and workforce development initiatives.
- Advocate for clients’ rights and access to necessary services, including Medicare and child welfare programs.
- Maintain accurate documentation of client interactions and treatment plans in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss client progress and adjust treatment strategies as needed.
Qualifications
- A valid Virginia license in social work (LCSW or equivalent) is required.
- Proven experience in crisis intervention, crisis management, and behavioral health settings.
- Familiarity with addiction counseling techniques is preferred.
- Strong understanding of child welfare systems and childcare practices is advantageous.
- Experience in supervising staff or mentoring peers is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build rapport with diverse populations.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team environment.

Pay: $38.19 - $45.99 per hour
