Nestled in the heart of Virginia wine country, our winery offers guests a unique destination for wine tasting, weddings, private celebrations, corporate gatherings, live music, and special events. We are seeking a highly organized, outgoing, and motivated Events Coordinator to help grow our event business and ensure exceptional experiences for every guest.
Position Summary
The Events Coordinator will be responsible for generating event bookings, coordinating event logistics, and serving as the primary point of contact for clients from inquiry through event completion. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hospitality, sales, relationship building, and creating memorable guest experiences.
Key Responsibilities
Event Sales & Client Relations
- Respond to event inquiries via phone, email, website, and social media.
- Conduct venue tours for prospective clients.
- Actively promote and sell winery events, including weddings, rehearsal dinners, bridal showers, corporate meetings, holiday parties, fundraisers, and private celebrations.
- Build relationships with local businesses, wedding planners, caterers, photographers, and event vendors.
- Follow up on leads and convert inquiries into booked events.
- Maintain accurate event records, contracts, and client communications.
Event Planning & Coordination
- Coordinate all event details from booking through completion.
- Create event timelines and communicate logistics to winery staff and vendors.
- Manage event calendars, contracts, deposits, and final payments.
- Serve as the primary contact for clients throughout the planning process.
- Oversee event setup, execution, and breakdown for select events.
- Ensure a high level of guest satisfaction and professionalism at all events.
Marketing & Community Engagement
- Assist with promoting winery events through social media, email marketing, and local partnerships.
- Support wine club events, seasonal festivals, and winery-sponsored activities.
- Identify opportunities to increase event bookings and enhance guest experiences.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in event planning, hospitality, venue management, catering, restaurant management, hotel operations, or sales preferred.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with management and staff.
- Comfortable interacting with guests, vendors, and clients in a professional manner.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and event management software.
- Must be available for occasional evenings, weekends, and special events.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working at a winery, brewery, wedding venue, country club, hotel, or hospitality business.
- Experience with event sales, lead generation, and client relationship management.
- Knowledge of the Northern Virginia wedding and event market.
- Social media and marketing experience a plus.

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
