Position Summary
The Automotive Diesel Technician will diagnose, repair, and maintain light- to medium-duty diesel vehicles. This position requires strong diagnostic skills with a focus on electrical systems, emissions, fuel systems, and overall drivability concerns.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair drivability concerns on diesel-powered vehicles.
- Perform electrical diagnostics and repair on vehicle systems.
- Diagnose and repair diesel fuel systems.
- Diagnose and repair emissions-related systems.
- Perform routine maintenance and mechanical repairs.
- Accurately document inspections, diagnostics, and repairs.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Work efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Technical training in automotive or diesel technology or equivalent hands-on experience.
- Experience with diesel engine diagnostics and repair.
- Electrical diagnostic training or proven experience.
- Emissions diagnostic training or proven experience.
- Fuel systems diagnostic training or proven experience.
- Must supply your own professional tools.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Dependable, professional, and customer-focused attitude.
Preferred Qualifications
- ASE Certifications (preferred but not required).
- Experience working with diesel performance upgrades and tuning.
- Familiarity with modern diagnostic scan tools and service information systems.
