Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Office Assistant for our NIGHT CLINIC to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess strong administrative skills, excellent patient service abilities, and a comprehensive understanding of medical office operations. In this role, you will support clinical and administrative functions, ensuring smooth clinic workflows, accurate documentation, and exceptional patient care. Your expertise in electronic health record systems will be instrumental in maintaining compliance and operational efficiency.
Duties
- Manage patient intake, appointment scheduling, and front desk operations with professionalism and courtesy.
- Verify insurance coverage and processes accurately.
- Assist with medical documentation review, ensuring completeness and accuracy of patient records.
- Utilize EMR (Electronic Medical Record) system to update and maintain patient information.
- Maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations while handling sensitive health information.
- Coordinate with clinical staff to facilitate care plans and follow-up appointments efficiently.
- Provide exceptional patient service by addressing inquiries via multi-line phone systems and managing front desk duties with professionalism.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a medical office setting or healthcare environment with familiarity in clinic operations.
- Experience with insurance verification processes and Medicare guidelines is preferred.
- Excellent computer skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in documentation review and data entry.
- Bilingual abilities are a plus to effectively communicate with diverse patient populations.
- Strong organizational skills combined with excellent phone etiquette and customer service orientation.
