Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide outstanding customer service to foster loyalty and satisfaction
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently for retail sales transactions and cash register operations
- Handle cash handling duties accurately, including cash drawer management and basic math calculations
- Assist customers with product demos and upselling to maximize sales opportunities
- Stock shelves, organize merchandise, and ensure the store is clean, inviting, and well-merchandised
- Maintain excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely
- Support inventory management by stocking products and participating in merchandising efforts
- Provide knowledgeable assistance about store products, including retail store product knowledge and grocery store experience if applicable
Qualifications
- Previous retail sales or cashiering experience preferred; familiarity with POS systems is a plus
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively in bilingual settings if applicable
- Demonstrated supervising experience or leadership qualities are advantageous for team collaboration
- Ability to perform retail math accurately for transactions, pricing, and inventory counts
- Knowledge of retail store product knowledge, merchandising, and stock management techniques
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude and professional phone etiquette
- Basic math skills for handling cash register operations and cash handling procedures
- Experience in grocery stores or similar environments is desirable but not required
