Legal Secretary (Litigation)
LHH is partnering with a law firm to hire a Legal Secretary to support a busy litigation practice.
Compensation $85,000 - $105,000 annually
Locations: Oakland, CA, San Francisco, CA, San Jose, CA
Schedule Full-time, 90-day onsite training period required (5 days/week in office), Hybrid schedule after training: 2 days onsite, 3 days remote
Key Responsibilities-
Provide administrative and legal support to attorneys

Draft, revise, proofread, and format legal and business documents

Maintain attorney calendars, contacts, and deadlines

Coordinate meetings, conference calls, and travel arrangements
-
Review and route incoming mail and correspondence
-
Maintain electronic case and administrative files
-
Enter attorney time and assist with billing processes

Prepare expense reimbursements and check requests
-
Assist with closing binders and closing checklists
-
Provide backup support to other legal secretaries as needed
Required Qualifications-
5-8+ years of legal secretary experience

Experience supporting attorneys in a law firm environment

Strong written, verbal, and organizational skills

Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines

Strong judgment, professionalism, and attention to detail

Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Preferred Qualifications-
Bachelor's degree

Real Estate and/or Business Law experience

Paralegal certificate or paralegal background
Technical Skills-
Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Adobe Acrobat
-
Electronic document management systems
-
Time-entry and billing software
-
Calendaring and docketing software
-
Experience with NetDocs, Best Authority, CompuLaw/ProLaw, and Aderant is a plus
