Overview
****NOTE**** It is a REQUIREMENT that the successful candidate must have some GRAPHICS ART experience (like CorelDraw, Illustrator, Photoshop, Etc.)
We have a need for a pleasant, motivated individual as a sales associate at our very busy mailing and shipping store. Our services include:
-Mailing and Shipping
-Packaging items for shipping
-Copies and Faxes
-Printing operations
-Signs/Banners
-T Shirts and mugs
-and more!
The store is open from 9:30am to 6:00 pm Mon-Fri and Sat 10-3. Closed Sundays and Holidays. The position is PART TIME (about 20-30 hours weekly). Your hours would be anytime during the working hours.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide outstanding customer service to meet their mailing, shipping, and retail needs
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system efficiently for retail sales transactions, including upselling store products and services
- Handle cash register operations with accuracy, including cash handling, cash drawer management, and basic math calculations
- Help design print and sign jobs
- Stock shelves, organize merchandise, and ensure the store is clean, organized, and well-merchandised at all times
- Manage shipping processes by verifying packages, printing labels, and ensuring timely dispatch of shipments
- Maintain excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or providing information about services offered
Requirements
- Previous retail sales experience preferred; supervisory experience is a plus
- Must have graphics art experience (Photoshop, CorelDraw)
- High School+
- Must be able to stand without sitting for 3 hours or more.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 40 lbs unassisted.
- Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve diverse customers
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude and professional phone etiquette
- Basic math skills for cash handling, balancing cash drawers, and processing transactions accurately
