Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing a friendly and professional first impression
- Manage restaurant reservation systems, including Aloha POS and Micros POS, to schedule and confirm bookings efficiently
- Coordinate seating arrangements to optimize table utilization while maintaining guest comfort
- Answer incoming phone calls with professionalism, providing accurate information and handling reservation requests with courtesy
- Maintain organized waitlists and communicate wait times clearly to guests
- Assist with guest inquiries, special requests, and seating adjustments to enhance their experience
- Support food safety standards by ensuring cleanliness and adherence to hygiene protocols in guest areas
Skills
- Proven experience as a host or hostess in a restaurant or hospitality setting
- Strong knowledge of restaurant reservation management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle guest concerns tactfully and efficiently
- Effective communication skills, including phone etiquette and clear verbal interactions
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining organization and attention to detail
- Basic math skills for managing reservations, waitlists, and table counts accurately
- Familiarity with food service operations, guest relations, and hospitality standards
- Knowledge of food safety practices and restaurant operations is preferred
- Experience with hotel or restaurant POS systems is advantageous
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tables, reservations, and guest needs seamlessly
