Duties
- Supervise residents during weekend day and overnight shifts, ensuring safety and adherence to program guidelines
- Support residents with daily activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and recreational engagement
- Implement behavior management techniques to de-escalate conflicts and promote positive interactions
- Assist with intake procedures and documentation for new residents or service updates
- Administer medications following strict protocols and maintain accurate medication administration records
- Conduct crisis intervention when necessary, utilizing de-escalation techniques to manage high-risk situations effectively
- Maintain resident confidentiality while documenting incidents, progress notes, and data collection accurately using Microsoft Office tools
- Support residents in developing life skills and connecting them with community resources for ongoing stability
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on case management plans tailored to individual needs
- Engage with families and support networks to foster communication and coordinated care efforts
Qualifications
- Prior supervising or leadership experience in childcare, social work, behavioral health or related fields preferred
- Strong understanding of conflict management, crisis intervention, and de-escalation techniques
- Experience working with individuals experiencing homelessness, substance use disorders, mental health conditions or from underserved communities highly desirable
- Knowledge of medication administration protocols and manual handling procedures
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for data entry, filing, and report writing
- Valid CPR and First Aid certifications; additional certifications in addiction counseling or security are a plus
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively with culturally diverse populations and families
- Ability to handle high-risk situations calmly while maintaining resident confidentiality and safety standards
- Experience working with youth or in home & community care settings is advantageous
