Key Responsibilities
- Anesthesia & Sedation: Prepare, administer, and monitor tailored sedation and general anesthetic protocols for flexible/rigid endoscopy, ultrasound-guided biopsies, and interventional fluoroscopic procedures.
- Diagnostics & Imaging: Perform venipuncture, run in-house laboratory diagnostics, capture digital radiographs, and assist with diagnostic ultrasound imaging.
- Procedural Support: Assist DVMs during internal medicine procedures, manage patient recovery, and track post-anesthetic vitals through full stabilization.
- Equipment & Inventory Care: Maintain and clean specialized internal medicine instrumentation, including the medical endoscope tower, flexible scopes, ultrasound units, and lab equipment.
- Client Education & Discharges: Direct patient check-ins, record detailed histories, and conduct comprehensive discharge consultations with clients.
Qualifications
- Active Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) license in Oregon (or eligibility for license reciprocity).
- Minimum 1-2 years of clinical experience, with preference for background in specialty medicine or advanced anesthesia monitoring.
- Proficiency in drug calculations, venous access, continuous patient monitoring, and managing anesthetic complications.
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to structured, evidence-based care.
Pay: $26.00 - $31.00 per hour
