We are seeking a detail-oriented
Staff Accountant to join a growing accounting team. This role will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing journal entries, performing account reconciliations, and supporting the month-end close process. The ideal candidate is analytical, organized, and thrives in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and post journal entries in accordance with GAAP.
- Perform balance sheet and income statement account reconciliations, including:
- Cash
- Accounts Receivable
- Accounts Payable
- Prepaid Expenses
- Fixed Assets
- Inventory
- Accruals
- Intercompany Accounts
- Support month-end close activities and ensure timely, accurate financial reporting.
- Analyze account activity and investigate discrepancies or unusual variances.
- Assist with financial reporting, variance analysis, and profitability reporting.
- Maintain compliance with internal controls and accounting policies.
- Support process improvements and special projects to enhance accounting operations.
- Partner with teams across multiple departments to ensure accurate financial information.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
- 2+ years of accounting experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles.
- Experience with account reconciliations and month-end close activities.
- Advanced attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience with ERP or accounting software systems is a plus.

Additional Requirements
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel occasionally between company locations.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds on occasion.
- Flexibility to work additional hours during month-end close and reporting periods as needed.
