Perform maintenance and repairs on company trucks, trailers, and equipment

Diagnose mechanical issues and complete repairs in the shop or field as needed

Manage preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and extend equipment life

Ensure drivers complete daily pre-trip inspections and respond to reported issues

Oversee maintenance and repairs for landscape and snow equipment, including mowers, skid steers, plows, spreaders, and snow blowers

Coordinate with outside vendors for specialized or overflow repairs

Maintain inventory of parts, tools, fluids, and shop supplies
-
Support seasonal equipment changeovers for snow and landscape operations
-
Keep the shop and yard organized, safe, and fully stocked

Assist with material and equipment pickups, deliveries, and operational support as needed

May help oversee the day-to-day work of a mechanic assistant or support employee
-
High school diploma or equivalent required
-
Technical certification or related training preferred

Prior experience as a mechanic, fleet technician, equipment mechanic, or similar role required

Strong knowledge of engines, brakes, hydraulics, electrical systems, trailers, and small equipment
-
Experience with preventive maintenance programs and repair tracking preferred

Familiarity with systems such as Whip Around and Lynxup is a plus

Valid drivers license required

Organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities

Dependable and responsive when urgent repairs or breakdowns occur

Focused on safety, quality, and supporting ongoing operations

Able to work independently and collaborate with managers, drivers, foremen, and vendors

Comfortable working on trucks, landscape equipment, small engines, and snow equipment

Full-time, non-exempt position

Overtime and occasional weekend or emergency work may be required based on operational needs and seasonal demands

Work is performed in the shop, yard, and field

Role requires physical activity including lifting, bending, standing, and working in various weather conditions
