The Project Manager is responsible for overall profit at completion, delegation of tasks, client relations and general project management on any given job or jobs.
Project/Practice Management

Understand basic revenue models, P/L, and cost-to completion projections to make decisions accordingly.

Understand our pricing model and billing procedures.

Create and execute project work plans and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.

Follow up with clients, when necessary, for unpaid invoices

Accurately forecast and analyze project profitability, margins, and utilization

Identify resources needed and assign individual responsibilities.

Manage day-to-day operational aspects of projects and scopes.

Review deliverables prepared by team before passing to client.

Effectively apply our methodology and enforce project standards.

Prepare for engagement reviews and quality assurance procedures.

Minimize our exposure and risk on a project.

Ensure project documents are complete, current and stored appropriately.

Track and report team hours and expenses on a weekly basis.

Manage project budget.

Ensure timely and accurate invoicing and monitor receivables for project.

Accurately forecast and analyze revenue and bill rates.

Assure project legal documents are completed and signed.
Business Development
-
Lead proposal efforts including completing project scoping and LOE assessments.

Understand business development and “add-on” sales opportunities as they relate to a specific project

Effectively convey our message in both written and business development discussions
Communication

Keep project team well informed of changes within the organization and general corporate news.

Facilitate team and client meetings effectively.

Hold regular status meetings with project team.

Essential Qualifications and Skills:
-
7-10 years of relevant construction management preferred.
-
Post-college field experience in estimating, purchasing, submittal review, CAD, and cost control.
-
Experience in concrete, excavation, underground and exposed piping.
-
Prefer experience in heavy civil or mechanical type projects.
-
Mechanically minded problem solver with excellent math aptitude.
-
Highly organized and detail oriented.
-
Professional with effective communication skills to keep people on task.

Results-oriented with ability to manage people and tasks in a deadline driven environment.
