******Experience: Previous experience is preferred , however, is NOT MANDATORY . We will provide on the job training if necessary.

*****WE DO NOT WORK WEEKENDS OR HOLIDAYS. AND OFFER HOLIDAY PAY FOR MOST MAJOR HOLIDAYS.
Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during a variety of clinical procedures including oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry, ensuring efficient workflow and patient comfort.
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing dental instruments, setting up necessary equipment such as dental x-ray machines, 3D scanners, and dental instruments processing tools.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-ray), ensuring adherence to infection prevention management and aseptic techniques in line with clinical confidentiality policies.
- Manage patient flow by scheduling appointments using patient management software like Dentrix or Epic, verifying patient information, and updating medical records accurately.
- Provide chairside assistance by managing dental equipment, handing instruments to the dentist, and ensuring proper infection control protocols are followed throughout procedures.
- Educate patients on oral health practices, post-treatment care instructions, and answer questions about general dentistry procedures with clarity and professionalism.
- Maintain clinical supplies inventory, sterilize dental instruments following sterilization procedures, and uphold strict infection control standards to ensure patient safety.
Skills
- Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR systems) such as Dentrix, Epic, or similar platforms for accurate documentation.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, dental equipment operation, and medical imaging techniques including X-ray procedures.
- Experience with dental sterilization procedures and infection prevention management to maintain a safe clinical environment.
- Ability to perform chairside assisting with four-handed dentistry techniques efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
- Familiarity with pediatric dentistry practices and the unique needs of young patients for effective care delivery.
- Excellent communication skills to serve as a competent dental receptionist when needed and manage patient interactions professionally.
- Knowledge of healthcare infection control standards aligned with HIPAA regulations for maintaining patient confidentiality at all times.
