Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our dedicated team. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough mental health assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding standards to develop personalized treatment plans.
- Provide individual, group, family, and youth therapy sessions using evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-focused therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and behavioral therapy.
- Implement crisis management techniques to ensure client safety during acute episodes, including crisis intervention protocols and behavior management strategies.
- Deliver specialized counseling services including grief counseling, addiction counseling, PTSD care, gender issues counseling, and support for individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations and clinical documentation standards; ensure timely updates in electronic medical records (EMR/EHR).
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for case management, medical records review, and treatment planning; coordinate care with hospitals or outpatient clinics as needed.
- Engage in continuous professional development through clinical research, data collection, and staying current with medical terminology and ICD coding updates.
Qualifications
- Valid licensure as a Mental Health Therapist (e.g., LPC, LMFT, LCSW) with state-specific certification requirements fulfilled.
- Proven experience working with children, adolescents, or individuals with co-occurring disorders in outpatient or inpatient settings.
- Strong knowledge of psychotherapy modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, trauma-focused therapy, and applied behavior analysis (ABA).
- Demonstrated ability to handle crisis situations effectively using crisis intervention techniques;
- Familiarity with telehealth platforms for remote therapy sessions; experience providing telehealth therapy is highly preferred.
- Excellent clinical documentation skills adhering to HIPAA standards; proficiency with EMR/EHR systems for patient care documentation.
- Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams while maintaining professional ethical guidelines; experience working with individuals with disabilities or autism is a plus.
- Knowledge of ICD coding systems (ICD-10) for accurate diagnosis documentation; understanding of CPT coding for billing purposes is advantageous.
