Job Summary:
Seeking a Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive outpatient care, including patient assessment, care planning, medication administration, treatments, diagnostic testing, patient education, and care coordination. The RN will care for patients of all ages, collaborate with healthcare professionals, maintain accurate documentation, and supervise Unit Secretaries and PCTs as needed.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive patient care using the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Assess patients and develop and implement appropriate nursing care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments according to established standards and procedures.
- Monitor patients and interpret diagnostic tests, including basic EKGs.
- Provide patient and family education regarding care, treatments, and health needs.
- Coordinate and collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure quality and efficient patient care.
- Provide care to patients across all age groups, from birth through elderly.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care and nursing activities.
- Serve as a resource person and support other staff when needed.
- Supervise Unit Secretaries and PCTs in collaboration with the Charge Nurse.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an NLN-approved nursing education program.
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required.
- Previous healthcare setting experience preferred.
- Must hold an active Alaska RN license in good standing.
- Current BLS certification required.
- Basic EKG and nursing skills.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and the nursing process.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Pay: $2,700.00 - $2,726.00 per week
