Job Summary
We are recruiting a Technical Project Manager to lead IT project delivery for a federal agency customer in the National Capital Region. This is a hybrid role based in Washington, DC. Candidates who are currently supporting, or have recently supported, federal transportation security programs are strongly preferred. Candidates open to relocating to the DC area are welcome to apply.
This position is contingent on contract award.
What You Will Do
- Own technical project delivery end to end: scope, schedule, budget, risk, and stakeholder communication
- Run agile ceremonies (sprint planning, backlog refinement, reviews, retrospectives) and own the product backlog
- Partner with the government IT organization to deliver and drive adoption of solutions on Microsoft 365, Power BI, Power Platform, and SharePoint
- Translate mission requirements into technical user stories with clear acceptance criteria
- Track and report execution in Jira, and brief status to government leadership
- Coordinate vendor and subcontractor deliverables, and support security and compliance documentation as required
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- US citizenship
- Active DHS Tier 2 / Public Trust
- 5+ years managing technical or IT projects, including at least 2 years in a federal government environment
- Direct experience supporting a federal transportation security or homeland security agency
- Hands-on delivery experience with Power BI, Microsoft 365, or Power Platform, not oversight only
- Demonstrated agile delivery: backlog ownership, sprint ceremonies, and Jira
Preferred Qualifications
- PMP, CSM, or PMI-ACP
- Support to the customer agency within the last two years
- Experience delivering ServiceNow, Salesforce, or Appian solutions in a government environment
- Experience working directly with a government CIO or IT directorate
Compensation
$120,000 to $150,000 per year, depending on experience.
Pay: $120,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
