The position of waterproofing specialist performs tasks involving physical labor at residential and commercial waterproofing projects. May operate a variety of hand and power tools. May clean and prepare sites, dig trenches, install interior and/or exterior waterproofing related systems and repair, clean up rubble and debris and remove waste materials. Provides guidance to assigned crew members and communicates effectively with customers throughout the project.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Performing a variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labor in waterproofing projects; performing manual work in installation of waterproofing systems.
- Operate jackhammer or other tools to remove concrete.
- Utilize non power tools to prepare site for waterproofing system installation.
- Communicate with customer at arrival to job site, during the project and at completion of project.
- Maintaining a clean job site: picking up all tools and equipment and secure job site each day in order to eliminate potential hazards
- Handling and storing materials
- Loading and unloading trucks and hauling trailer.
- Ensuring that proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed; bringing problems to the attention of the Foreman.
- Other duties as assigned.
