Maintenance Technician
Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Maintenance Technician to add to our team in York, PA! This individual will ensure reliable operation of production equipment and support continuous manufacturing performance. The role will entail performing preventative and corrective maintenance on mechanical and electrical systems, troubleshooting equipment faults, and collaborating with production and engineering teams to minimize downtime, improve equipment reliability, and support safe and efficient manufacturing processes. We operate in the packaging space and are looking for candidates for a 6am-6pm or 6pm-6am swing shift on a 2/2/3 rotating schedule.
Key Responsibilities

Perform preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment used in manufacturing operations.

Diagnose equipment issues using mechanical and electrical troubleshooting techniques, schematic interpretation, and diagnostic tools; implement effective repairs to restore operation.

Perform routine inspections, lubrication, adjustments, and part replacements to maintain equipment according to maintenance schedules.

Collaborate with production, engineering, and safety teams to prioritize maintenance activities, support process improvements, and minimize production downtime.

Document maintenance activities, parts used, and time spent in the CMMS; create accurate work orders and maintenance reports.

Assist with installation, setup, and commissioning of new equipment and process upgrades; support continuous improvement initiatives and root cause analysis for recurring failures.

Maintain spare parts inventory and recommend stocking changes to support critical spares availability.

Follow all safety procedures, lockout/tagout protocols, and company policies to ensure a safe work environment.

Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior maintenance staff and assist with training as needed.
Qualifications
-
High school diploma or equivalent; technical diploma or associate degree in electro-mechanical technology, industrial maintenance, or related field preferred.

2+ years of hands-on maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment, with demonstrated ability to service mechanical and electrical systems.

Strong mechanical aptitude with experience on motors, bearings, gearboxes, conveyors, presses, pumps, and related industrial equipment.

Proficient in electrical troubleshooting, including reading electrical schematics, wiring, PLC basics, and using multimeters and other diagnostic tools preferred.

Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systems, sensors, and control devices.

Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) and good documentation practices.

Ability to work shift schedules, respond to maintenance emergencies, and handle physical demands of the role (lifting, climbing, confined spaces).

Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate across teams to drive equipment reliability and continuous improvement.

Certifications such as OSHA, NFPA 70E, or relevant trade certifications are a plus.
