Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Delivery Driver/Warehouse Worker to join our growing team. This role combines the essential responsibilities of safely delivering products to businesses while efficiently handling warehouse operations. You will be the face of our company, providing excellent customer service during deliveries and ensuring smooth logistics within our warehouse. Responsibilities
- Safely operate a box truck or similar commercial vehicle, adhering to all DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and safe driving practices.
- Load, unload, and move products using manual handling techniques following proper safety procedures.
- Deliver goods to customers’ locations promptly, maintaining accurate route driving and delivery schedules.
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating professionally with clients during deliveries and addressing any questions or concerns.
- Assist with warehouse tasks such as inventory management, stock organization, and preparing shipments for dispatch.
- Ensure all load & unload activities are performed efficiently while maintaining safe lifting practices to prevent injury.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, vehicle inspection reports, and warehouse records in compliance with company policies.
Qualifications
- Proven warehouse experience with familiarity in manual handling, heavy lifting, and safe lifting practices.
- Valid commercial driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating a box truck or similar vehicle preferred.
- Prior delivery driver experience is highly desirable, especially in route driving and courier services.
- Knowledge of DOT regulations related to commercial driving and weight handling in the workplace.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally.
- Physical ability to lift heavy items regularly and perform moving tasks efficiently while adhering to safety standards.
FULL TIME – 4 days per week (10 hour shifts), Monday through Friday, hours depending on the needs of the company, which may change.
Mandatory Requirements:
Minimum 25 years of age
Valid Illinois Driver’s license and a clean driving record required
Must clear criminal background check
No traffic citations in the last 36 months, including no citation for speed over 80 mph
Ability to lift up to 125lbs regularly
Requires High School Diploma or equivalent
DOT physical, drug test and background checks
Candidates who refuse or fail any screening are not eligible to provide services. Background checks are conducted in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local law and are the responsibility of the applicant to pay.
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
