Responsibilities
- Develop and manage comprehensive social service programs tailored to individuals with developmental disabilities, ensuring alignment with best practices and regulatory standards
- Supervise and mentor social work staff, behavioral health specialists, and program coordinators to foster professional growth and maintain high-performance teams
- Oversee program budgets, resource allocation, and administrative functions to ensure efficient operation and sustainability
- Build and nurture strong relationships with clients, families, community organizations, healthcare providers, and funding agencies to enhance service delivery and collaboration
- Conduct regular program evaluations, monitor outcomes, and implement improvements to maximize client benefits
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and organizational policies related to social services and behavioral health
- Lead crisis intervention efforts when necessary, providing guidance on complex cases involving behavioral health or developmental needs
Skills
- Proven management experience leading social service or behavioral health programs with a focus on developmental disabilities
- Strong program development skills with the ability to design innovative solutions that meet diverse client needs
- Extensive experience working directly with individuals with developmental disabilities to promote independence and well-being
- Exceptional relationship management skills to foster trust among clients, families, staff, and community partners
- Solid administrative background including budgeting, documentation, reporting, and compliance management
- Supervisory experience in a fast-paced environment with the ability to motivate teams and handle complex cases effectively
- Deep understanding of social work principles combined with knowledge of behavioral health practices to support holistic client care
