Position Summary: The pay range for this position is $17 per hour to $21 per hour Plus commission.
The Collectibles Sales Associate is responsible for assisting the manager with the performance and daily operations of a store specializing in collectible items such as trading cards, vintage collectibles, accessories, rare memorabilia, and more. This position requires a team player with a passion for sports and entertainment cards and collectibles, excellent customer service skills, inventory, and help drive sales and cultivate a loyal customer base. This position reports to the Store Manager.
Responsibilities:

Daily operations of the store, ensuring smooth and efficient functioning of sales.

Assists with driving the sales and trades of collectibles and cards from private parties in the store.
- Conduct opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and assist with reconciliation of daily sales.

Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing store environment that reflects the brand and product offerings.

Achieve sales targets by delivering exceptional customer service and providing expert knowledge on collectibles.

Engage with customers to foster a welcoming and knowledgeable environment, offering recommendations, appraisals, and product sourcing.

Handle complex customer inquiries, complaints, and returns in a professional and effective manner.

Undertake inventory control processes, including assisting the manager with stock levels, product ordering, and ensuring accurate pricing and product descriptions.

Ensure proper storage and display of rare and high-value collectibles to minimize damage and theft.

Achieve key performance metrics such as sales growth, customer traffic, and inventory turnover.

Comply with store policies, including security procedures to prevent theft or loss.

Safeguard high-value merchandise with appropriate security measures, such as inventory control, alarms, and employee training.
Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Minimum 2 years of retail sales experience, preferably in a specialty or collectibles-focused environment.

Passion for collectibles (e.g., trading cards, action figures, comic books, or vintage items) with in-depth product knowledge.

Proven track record in sales and customer service.

Proficient in using retail point-of-sale (POS) systems, inventory management tools, and basic office software.

Excellent customer service, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Physical Requirements:

Must be able to work from a standing or sitting position for extended periods of time

Must be willing and able to work in front of a computer monitor for extended periods of time

Frequent use of hands and fingers to handle and package sports cards carefully.

Ability to manipulate small items with precision.

Ability to read and interpret small print on cards and packaging.

Ability to move around the workspace to access different products, tools, and supplies.

Capability to lift and carry items up to 50 pounds, such as boxes of cards and shipping materials.

Maintain good posture while sitting or standing to prevent fatigue and discomfort.
