We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring they feel welcomed and valued from the moment they arrive. Your primary responsibilities will include managing reservations, greeting guests, and maintaining a smooth flow of service in the restaurant. Duties
- Greet and welcome guests as they arrive, ensuring a positive first impression.
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements to optimize table turnover while maintaining guest comfort.
- Provide menus and inform guests about daily specials or promotions.
- Assist with guest inquiries and provide information about the restaurant's offerings.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/host area.
- Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure efficient service delivery.
- Handle phone calls with professionalism, taking reservations or answering questions about the restaurant.
- Utilize POS systems such as open table and toast for managing reservations and orders effectively.
- Uphold high standards of guest relations by addressing any concerns promptly and courteously.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Host/Host or in a similar role within the food service or hospitality industry is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with guests and team members.
- Experience in hotel guest services or restaurant environments is a plus.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
