Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and energetic Operations Manager to lead our fitness facility operations and focus on Member Services, accountability and culture . In this role, you will oversee daily operational functions, manage staff at 2 local sites, work hand in hand with Directors, General Managers, Department Managers and hourly staff to ensure excellent customer service, and maintain operational efficiency. Your leadership will drive team performance, service delivery that optimize sales and retention, and uphold the highest standards in fitness management to make a vibrant a fitness environment as possible.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily store operations, including sales, customer service, inventory control, and cash handling.
- Lead, motivate, and develop team members through effective training & development initiatives.
- Manage employee orientation, interviewing, recruiting, and scheduling to ensure optimal staffing levels.
- Oversee purchasing, merchandising, pricing strategies, and inventory management to maximize profitability.
- Implement and monitor POS (Point of Sale) systems, retail math calculations, and retail sales processes.
- Conduct shift management duties, including supervising cashiering activities and ensuring smooth store flow.
- Maintain organizational standards for cleanliness, safety protocols, and customer satisfaction. Qualifications
- Proven management experience in retail or fitness environments with supervising responsibilities.
- Strong skills in negotiation, employee orientation, interviewing, and team management.
- Multilingual or bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse customer bases effectively.
- Knowledge of payroll processing, bookkeeping, budgeting, and inventory management systems.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service excellence.
- Experience with retail math, pricing strategies, merchandising, marketing, and sales management.
- Demonstrated leadership in training & development programs and shift supervision.
- Organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently.
- Previous assistant manager or retail store management experience preferred. Pay: From $60,000.00 per year
