Role: Medical Technician - Ophthalmology
Duration: On going, long term (On demand support)
Location: Dallas, TX
We are seeking a Medical Technician with Ophthalmology expertise to support tele-ophthalmology services and patient care in Senior Care community living settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist ophthalmologists with patient data entry, examinations, diagnostic testing, and clinical procedures.
- Perform ophthalmic tests and accurately document patient results.
- Visit community living locations such as assisted living and senior care facilities to provide on-site services.
- Prepare patients, equipment, and clinical documentation for examinations.
- Use of a software system
- Ensure high-quality, compassionate patient care during community visits.
Requirements:
- Experience as a Medical Technician, Ophthalmology Assistant, Ophthalmic Technician, or similar clinical role.
- Ophthalmology/eye-care experience preferred, ability to use portable devices
- Strong patient communication and organizational skills.
- Ability and willingness to travel to community living locations.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with ophthalmologists and clinical staff.
Preferred:
- Experience with online consultation support is a plus
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
