Launch Driver
Location: Hingham, MA 02043
We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Launch Driver to operate passenger launches in the Hingham, MA area. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting passengers to and from various waterfront locations, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience while adhering to all maritime regulations.
- Operate launch vessels to transport passengers between designated points in a safe and timely manner.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vessel to ensure safety and operational readiness.
- Maintain clear communication with dispatch and other crew members regarding schedules and passenger needs.
- Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking, ensuring their safety at all times.
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal maritime laws and company policies.
- Report any mechanical issues or safety concerns promptly to the supervisor.
- Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of the launch vessel.
- Valid boating license or operator’s certification as required by Massachusetts regulations.
- Previous experience operating passenger launches or similar vessels preferred.
- Strong knowledge of local waterways and navigation rules.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Physical ability to assist passengers and perform vessel maintenance tasks.
