Together we fight for everyone’s opportunity for a better financial future.
We will do this together — with customers, partners and colleagues. We will fight for others, not against: We will stand up for and champion everyone’s access to opportunities. The status quo is not good enough … we believe every individual and every community deserves access to financial opportunities. We are determined to support both individuals and communities in reaching a better financial future. We know that reaching this future depends on our actions today.
Like our Purpose Statement, Voya believes in being bold and committed to action. We are committed to a work environment where the differences that we are born with — and those we acquire throughout our lives — are understood, valued and intentionally pursued. We believe that our employees own our culture and have a responsibility to foster an environment where we all feel comfortable bringing our whole selves to work. Purposefully bringing our differences together to positively influence our culture, serve our clients and enrich our communities is essential to our vision.

The Corporate Responsibility Specialist role reports into the head of Corporate Responsibility and supports the development and execution of various processes and projects to enhance performance across the Purpose, Talent & Inclusion organization. The Specialist will be a driven self-starter with an owner’s mindset: spot gaps, propose improvements, follow through without being chased, and balance speed vs. accuracy. They will quickly grow to be a subject matter expert in Voya’s reasonable business practices and system owner for all PTI data and reporting tools.
Customer obsession is essential for this role, as the Corporate Responsibility Specialist will own the communications workflow for customer and prospect requests for proposals (RFPs) and build reusable, accurate content and data-backed responses. In this capacity, the Specialist will develop and maintain an understanding of Voya’s responsible business practices and core disclosures (marketing materials, regulatory reports, policies, statements, and other relevant resources). The responsibilities of this role will be shared across multiple teams working on corporate responsibility, inclusion, giving, volunteering, talent development and talent management.
The Corporate Responsibility Specialist will have broad exposure to the enterprise by contributing to or being responsible for a variety of projects including the annual Impact Report, quarterly PTI Statement, environmental regulatory reporting, external surveys and awards, and internal requests for reports. The nature of this work requires a Specialist who sweats the details and executes with high quality and who is adaptable, curious, and AI-literate—who can turn ambiguous questions into clear deliverables, validate data and outputs, and continuously improve the way we work.
Own or support all PTI reporting systems to ensure (1) optimal functionality and efficiency, (2) data accuracy, and (3) consistent reporting aligned with stakeholder expectations. Use AI tools where appropriate to accelerate drafting, analysis, and automation, while validating accuracy, protecting confidential data, and documenting assumptions and changes. These systems currently include Benevity, NASDAQ Metrio, Workday eLearning, and collaboration with internal Workday systems team regarding workforce data and dashboards.
Support data entry, analysis and reporting, plus measurement against targets, for milestone social impact events including National Days of Service, the Employee Giving Campaign, and others.
Develop expertise in environmental-related reporting frameworks (e.g., GHG Protocol, TCFD, and emerging international frameworks) and apply it to data collection, validation, and reporting.
Support (and lead when needed) external and internal audits/assurance for data used in external publications (annual and quarterly), ensuring traceability, evidence, and clear documentation.
Own awards/indices survey submissions end-to-end to ensure Voya is accurately represented, narratives are consistent, and submissions are on time. These may include the Corporate Equality Index, Corporate Sustainability Assessment, Disability Index, EPA Green Power partnership, and EPEAT Purchaser Award.
Lead the semi-annual Stakeholder Materiality process which requires collaboration with customer-facing teams, investor relations, nonprofit partners, and the consumer insights team; evaluate and manage an external vendor as needed.
Monitor and engage with responsible business raters/rankers to understand methodologies, track Voya’s position, and keep portal data current and accurate. Examples of raters include ISS, Just Capital, MSCI, and Sustainalytics.
Own and continuously improve the RFP response process including drafting data-backed responses, building reusable content, training partners on how to find and use core documents, implementing AI-enabled efficiencies, and applying quality controls to ensure accuracy. Track impact (cycle time, win/loss learnings where available, and re-use rates) and propose improvements.
Take on team projects across PTI with an owner’s mindset: clarify ambiguous asks, propose a plan, execute, and document the process so it can scale.
0–2 years of relevant experience (internships, co-ops, or full-time) in analytics, reporting, systems/process management, operations, or similar.
Interest in (or exposure to) corporate responsibility frameworks, disclosures, indices, and surveys with the ability to learn quickly and apply guidance accurately.
Strong critical thinking and investigative skills: ability to break down ambiguous questions, form hypotheses, validate with data/stakeholders, and document decisions.
AI-literate: comfortable using AI tools to draft, summarize, analyze, or automate work—while verifying accuracy, protecting confidential information, and recognizing limitations/bias.
