Job Summary: The Occupational Therapist (OT) will provide occupational therapy services and rehabilitative training.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assess participants for occupational therapy needs, and create rehabilitative plans accordingly
- Monitor and update participant occupational therapy goals through assessments and care plans
- Provide 1:1 participant support as needed
- Coordinate and advocate with family, caregivers, and physicians for participant needs
- Participate in the multi-disciplinary Care Plan teams through weekly, monthly and/or quarterly care plan meetings.
- Provide training and consultation with staff in the following areas:
- Lead rehabilitative instruction and training
- Model and assist with WAC compliant documentation and charting practices
- Perform related duties upon request.
SKILLS AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Current Occupational Therapist credential/license in WA State
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a human/social services setting
- Practical working knowledge of the Washington Administrative Code for Adult Day Health (preferred)
- Prior experience working with aging adults and people with disabilities (preferred)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Current CPR/First Aid Certification, TB Testing, and Food Handler’s Permit within 30 days of hire.
- Must pass DSHS background Check (and FBI fingerprint check if a Washington resident for less than three (3) years).
- Proof of U.S. Citizenship or right to work.
