Shop & Carry Pharmacy is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our growing HomeVax Direct program, providing vaccination services to patients in the comfort and convenience of their own homes.
This is an excellent opportunity for an RN who enjoys working independently, interacting with patients, and providing accessible healthcare in the community.
Position Details:
Position: Registered Nurse (RN) – Home Vaccination Program
Employment Type: 30-40 Hrs/ week
Pay: $45-$50 per hour
Service Area: Philadelphia and surrounding areas
Schedule: Flexible, based on scheduled patient appointments
Job Responsibilities
- Travel to patients' homes to administer vaccinations.
- Reliable personal vehicle and ability to drive to patient homes throughout Philadelphia and surrounding areas.
- Review patient information and complete appropriate vaccine screening.
- Administer vaccines safely and according to established protocols.
- Monitor patients after vaccination and respond appropriately to any immediate concerns.
- Provide patients and caregivers with basic vaccine education and information.
- Complete accurate documentation for each patient visit.
- Maintain proper vaccine handling and storage procedures during patient visits.
- Communicate with the pharmacy team regarding completed visits and any patient concerns.
- Provide professional, compassionate, and respectful care in patients' homes.
- Follow all applicable federal and Pennsylvania requirements, pharmacy policies, and clinical protocols.
Qualifications
- Current, unrestricted Pennsylvania RN license.
- Current CPR/BLS certification.
- Previous vaccination experience preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Comfortable working independently in patients' homes.
- Reliable transportation and valid driver's license.
- Ability to travel throughout Philadelphia and surrounding communities.
- Professional, dependable, and patient-focused.
